Obituary of Stanley P. Wiliczka

DUNEDIN, FL — Mr. Stanley P. Wiliczka, age 95, Dunedin, FL. formerly of Mohawk, NY passed away on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at Bay Pines V.A. Hospital with the love and support of his family. He was born on June 23, 1919, in Herkimer, NY, son of the late Peter and Karolina (Kristoponis) Wiliczka. He graduated from Herkimer High School in 1938. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he honorably served his country from February 6, 1941 until September 14 1945 serving in North Africa and Italy. He moved to Dunedin, Florida in September 2001. On Jan. 25, 1947, Stan was united in marriage to Josephine Staskus until her passing on June 19, 1973. On July 26, 1975, Stan married Anna M Franco until her passing on Sept. 5, 2001. He was a member of the Church of Saints Anthony & Joseph in Herkimer and St Michael The Archangel in Clearwater, FL. He was a member of the American Legion Post 25 in Mohawk, NY and the VFW. Stanley was employed at Univac and Mohawk Data Services as purchasing agent. Stanley loved to dance and listen to Polka music. He enjoyed many hours gardening and landscaping around his apartment. He also enjoyed watching his beloved Yankees and attending Tampa Bay Rays games in St. Pete especially when the Yankees were visiting. Stanley loved his family unconditionally and was proud when he was talking about his daughters and his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving daughters, Susan Parese and her husband James of Clearwater, Florida, and Janet Coneby and her husband Jack of Dunedin, Florida; his grandchildren, Megan Coneby and Michael Coneby. Also surviving is a brother, William Wiliczka and wife Angie, of Herkimer and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Pearl Plizek and nephew, William Staskus, predeceased Stanley. Friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 9:30 AM at Sts. Anthony & Joseph Parish, Main Street, Herkimer. Local funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Harry J. and Kevin E. Enea of the the Enea Family Funeral Home.
