Helen it's been a long year without you. So much has changed since we lost you. I miss seeing you mowing the lawn with your wide brim hat on. Calling me to bandage a cut or coming to my door to bandage you up. You are the most thoughtful caring lady that i've ever met. I tell Katie i miss you and she misses her mom so much. I miss your smile and the stories of years gone by that you would tell me. There will never be another you. I'm glad your in no more pain but I do miss you so very much. You'll be forever in my thoughts and prayers. Barb
Helen was so enthusiastic about all that she did. I remember her great job as chairperson for one of the first Quilt Shows held by the Ilion Piecemakers Quilt Guild. She was also so kind to bring my family a ham after the death of my husband. Helen was one of a kind. May she rest in peace.
I feel positively lucky to have had the opportunity to know Helen. Even though I met her at the end of her life- and she was often struggling- her kind and beautiful heart was always open. Seeing her sweet face and lovely smile every morning was a joy, I won't forget... My sincerest condolences to Kate, and the rest of her family.

She was one of the most caring and entertaining person and teacher. I can remember her like it was yersterday with her smile and always keeping us in line during class. She always had a new word or phrase for us to read or define. Because of your mom I had a different outlook on life from seventh grade on. One of my favorite words that she labeled me as was loquacious and that has proven to be my personality "The Gift Of Gab " Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers! Dear Kate Barb & Johann, Thinking of you at this sad time. Your mom was my pretty lady as I called her.She was so very kind and sweet to me I will miss her always.Her twinkling blue eyes and rosy cheeks.
