Obituary of Jane R. Fletcher

ST. JOHNSVILLE - Mrs. Jane R. (Edick) Fletcher, age 79 of County Highway 151, Dolgeville, NY (Town of Oppenheim) passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home with her loving family at her side. Her passing occurred on the morning of Monday, September 22, 2014. She was born on June 19, 1935 in Little Falls, a daughter of the late Howard and Eva (Miller) Edick. Jane was a graduate of Fort Plain Central School 'Class of 1952.' She also went on to attend the Utica School of Commerce. Jane was married to Theodore Siegle and then to Homer E. Fletcher. Both Ted and Homer preceded her in death. At one time Jane had worked at the Grand Union Supermarket in Fort Plain. As a note on her memorial page describes her best: "She is remembered as a funny and kind lady. She always had a smile and almost always had a funny thing to say about something. She was a helpful individual, a kind, and happy person. She was a great friend to have." Jane will be dearly missed by those of us who loved her. She is survived by her beloved family, all of whom live local to our area: her daughter Naomi Smith, her son Edward Fletcher, and her grandchildren: John, Matthew and Katherine. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great and great - great nieces and nephews. Her funeral arrangements have been planned with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, St. Johnsville, NY under the direction of Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea. (518) 568-2300. The family will hold a private memorial service in her honor on Friday October 3, 2014 at a time convenient to them. Jane will be buried at Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills, NY. There are no calling hours.
