Obituary of Lloyd E. Congdon

LITTLE FALLS - Lloyd E. Congdon, 79, of Little Falls passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown, surrounded by his family. Born November 26, 1935 in Little Falls, NY, he was a son of the late James and Mildred (Cramer) Congdon. He was educated in St. Johnsville schools. Lloyd was married to Barbara A. (Antalek). Lloyd was an avid bowler and was always active with the Hoot Owl's Bowling League of Little Falls. He was a dairy farmer in the Town of Danube. Survivors include his wife Barbara; children: Marla Adams and husband Tim of Little Falls, Lisa Mosher and husband Russell of Little Falls, and Donna Fields of Herkimer, his brothers James Congdon of Liverpool, Ralph Congdon and Kari of Little Falls, and Robert and Irene Congdon of Little Falls, his sister Greta Weaver and a special sister in law Jessie Debius, his beloved pet Willy; he is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers: Larry Congdon (Aretas), Orlyn Congdon (Anna Margaret), and sister Annabelle Talbot (Roger). Funeral service will be held on Saturday October 11, 2014 at 4:00 PM at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, Little Falls. Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will take place on Saturday prior to the funeral from 2 - 4 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Indian Castle Cemetery on Thursday October 16th at 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 100 Lomond Ct. Utica, NY 13502. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family extends a very special thank you to the Bassett Medical Center Oncology Unit and the hospital 3rd floor medical staff.
