LITTLE FALLS - Miss Helen Rita Molitor, age 81, died on Sunday November 2, 2014 in Herkimer, NY. She was born on June 18, 1933 in Long Island, daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Mead) Molitor. Helen was accomplished scholastically, having received her MBA from Syracuse University. Her professional career consisted of teaching, and for many years taught in the Canajoharie school system, namely 4th grade. She was of the Catholic faith. She lived many years in Little Falls, and later in life had resided at the Country Manor where she received wonderful care. The final months of her life were spent at Valley Health Services in Herkimer, where, again, she received excellent care. Her family is grateful for the comfortable life she was able to lead in our area. Her cousins survive including Janet Gydesen Cerasi and husband Marco of Ilion and Pam Gydesen of Mohawk and Richard and Cynthia Lill along with a niece and nephew Mia and Richard Flemma. Her predeceased relatives include her parents, a sister: Evelyn Flemma, her aunts including Margaret Gydesen, Irene Mead, Rita Mead, and Gertrude Mead; an uncle Frank Mead and a very special cousin R. James Gydesen. Her funeral arrangements are with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 North Washington Street, Herkimer, under the direction of Harry J. & Kevin E. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 5, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with the Very Reverend Mark Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer.
