Obituary of Patricia A. Bolen

FAIRFIELD - HERKIMER - Mrs. Patricia "Patty" A. (Altamura) Bolen, age 60, died unexpectedly on Sunday the 2nd of November 2014 with her loving family at her side. She was born on February 1, 1954 in Herkimer, a daughter of the late Michael and Bessie (Harper) Altamura. She was a graduate of Herkimer High School 'Class of 1972.' Her marriage to Allen O. Bolen took place on May 11, 1974 at St. Francis de Sales Church in Herkimer. She was last employed with American Foods Cafeteria at Remington Arms in Ilion. Patty loved picture taking, bird watching and caring for her beloved pets including her dog 'luna the tuna,' and her cat 'boo boo the kitty.' She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of over 40 years Allen; her sons: Allen M. Bolen of Herkimer and Daniel S. Bolen and wife Lindsey of Florida; grandchildren: Shyanne Bolen, Cole Bolen, Stephen O. Bolen, Patrick L. Bolen, Michael Comstock, and Edward Comstock; siblings: Michael Altamura and wife Nancy of Florida, Frank Altamura of North Carolina, and Laura Lawrence and husband Bill of Herkimer; In - Laws Stephen and Rose Bolen of Collins, NY; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Bessie and her father and mother - in - law Clarence and Doris Bolen. Her funeral arrangements have been planned with Funeral Directors Harry & Kevin Enea of The Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 North Washington Street in Herkimer, NY (315) 866-1011. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Thursday evening November 6th from 5 until 7 PM, concluding with a funeral service at 7:00 PM with Deacon Ron Ste. Marie officiating (affiliated with Church of Sts. Anthony & Joseph of Herkimer).
