Obituary of John Connor

Mr. John N. Connor 82 of 265 Brockett Road Dolgeville, died Wednesday November 5th, 2014 at the Alpine Rehabilitation & Nursing Home in Little Falls. At the time of his passing he was surrounded with the love and support of his family. John was born in Little Falls, on June 19, 1932 the son of the late John F. and Mary (Nash) Connor and was a graduate of Dolgeville High School. He was united in Marriage to Janet Fitzpatrick on October 4, 1952 in St. Mary's Church Little falls. They recently celebrated 62 years of marriage. His expanded employment consisted of working for Local Union 35 of Utica as a laborer, and also he was a self employed logger for many years. He worked on various construction projects, including the Iroquois pipe line. He was of the Catholic faith, and he personally enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, along with many family activities. He is survived by his wife Janet of 62 years, his sons and their wives, David and Joan Connor of Caroga lake, Thomas J. and Debra Connor of Mohawk, Terrence and Cheryl Connor of Johnstown, his daughters Cheryl and her husband Roy Doremus of Cedarville, Patricia McIntyre of Elbridge, NY, a Sister and her husband Alice Marie and Frank Pasquarelli of Tribes Hill, NY, His grandchildren, Kenneth, Tabitha, Rebecca, Ryan, Danielle, Amanda, Cody, Jillian, Jerica, Rory, Meghan, Emily, his great grandchildren, Joey ,Cameron, Seth, Josh, Matthew, Anthony. He was predeceased by a granddaughter Jodi Marie Connor. Calling hours will be held on Sunday November 9th, 2014 from 1-3PM at the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jodi Marie Connor Scholarship 1111 State Rt. 10 Caroga Lake, NY 12032. Jodi was a graduate of the BOCES LPN program and a scholarship is given each Christmas to a nursing student in her memory.
