Obituary of Francis P. Kelly

EAST HERKIMER - FRANCIS P. KELLY, "Butch" age 67, of East Herkimer, passed away on Monday November 10, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born on January 28, 1947 in Little Falls, a son of the late Frank and Patricia (Heafey) Kelly and was educated in Little Falls schools. His marriage to Mary J. O'Connor took place at St. Mary's Church on October 24, 1967, a loving union of over 47 years. Butch served our country overseas during the Vietnam era earning the rank of Sergeant E-5 and was the recipient of a Bronze Star. He was the owner and operator of Kelly's Meat Market for 27 years and worked with his family. He was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife Mary; a son Patrick P. Kelly and wife Joann of Herkimer, cherished grandchildren Matthew and Grace; brothers: Bryant Kelly and wife Kathy of Little Falls, Colleen Edwards and husband Doug of Clifton Park, and Michael Kelly and wife Beverly of Little Falls, many nieces and nephews and In - laws including Ann Kelly and her husband Charles. There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday November 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Parish, corner of East Main & John Streets in Little Falls with the Rev. Terence Healy officiating. Interment of his urn will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Those wishing are asked to consider donations in memory of Butch to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 344 W. Genesee St, Syracuse, NY 13202. Arrangements are under the direction of Harry & Kevin Enea, Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, Little Falls (315) 823-2424.
