ALFRED ROUNDS, age 77 of Little Falls, died suddenly on Tuesday evening, November 11, 2014 surrounded with family love. He was born on December 18, 1936 in Carthage, NY a son of the late William and Estelle (Doxtader) Rounds. He was educated in Carthage schools. His marriage to the former Mabel I. Carr took place October 18, 1964 in Carthage, a loving union of over 50 years. He was last employed as a groundskeeper with St. Mary's Cemetery. Al loved his family and especially spending time with his grandkids. He enjoyed fishing and playing poker and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. His family extends a special thank you to the St. Elizabeth Hospital staff and the ICU unit. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his beloved wife Mabel, his children: Vicky Lang and her husband Calvin of Utica, Barbara Rounds and her significant other Wayne Harrington of Ilion, Valerie Prusky and her husband Robert of Austintown, Ohio, Amy Rounds and her significant other Shawn Kane of Little Falls, Albert Rounds of Ilion, Joseph Rounds and his significant other Jessica Eckert of Little Falls, Elizabeth Smith and her husband William of Cedarville, Amanda Grower and her husband Chad of Little Falls, and Matthew Rounds and his wife Jeanine of Frankfort, 30 grandchildren, 4 great - grandchildren, and his siblings brother David Rounds, twin brother Albert Rounds, and sisters Patricia Fuller and Lillian Berg, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his beloved children Patricia and Robert and grandsons Michael Lang and Andrew Joseph Rounds, and siblings Lila Davis, Pauline Duccy, Wilbert Rounds, William Rounds, Barb Patchin, Elizabeth Rounds, and Hilda Rounds. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 18th, 2014 at 12:30 PM at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY with Deacon James Bower officiating (affiliated with the Holy Family Parish). Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer with military honors. The family is being served by Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea, Funeral Directors. (315) 823-2424.
