LITTLE FALLS - Eleanor Comins, age 84, longtime resident of Little Falls, passed away on Monday November 17, 2014 in Herkimer, NY. She was born on October 14, 1930, in the town of Little Falls, a daughter of the late Albert and Louise (Maxwell) Carney and was educated in local schools. She was married to John D. Comins. Mr. Comins died in 1995. Eleanor was a graduate of St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing and practiced for many years in her profession as a registered nurse. She had worked with Palatine Nursing Home and Little Falls Hospital. She was devoted to the Catholic faith and was a member of the Holy Family Parish. She is survived by her family, including children: David Comins and his companion Rhonda Hayes of Little Falls, John Donald Comins of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Patricia Crozier and her husband Scott of Oppenheim, and Mark R. Comins of Oppenheim, her sisters, Teresa Carney of Little Falls and Mary Judd and her husband Chris of Little Falls, grandchildren, Marcos Comins, Lacey Ann Comins, Travis John Truman Comins, Matthew Crozier and his companion Myrisa, and Courtney Crozier, two great - grandchildren, Cayde LaBadia and Kahlan Crozier, and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are In-Laws, Betty Stewart, Donna Moore, Sally Barker, Rick Comins, Palma Carney and Carol Comins. She was predeceased by her brothers, Donald, William and Rich Carney and a sister Jean Warchol. Funeral services will be held will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday November 24th, 2014 at the CHURCH OF STS. ANTHONY & JOSEPH, SOUTH MAIN STREET in HERKIMER where the Reverend Terence Healy will celebrate her Funeral Mass. Interment will immediately follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer.
