MOHAWK - Mrs. Shirley M. Schwasnick, age 79, of State Route 5S, Town of Little Falls, died on Thursday November 20, 2014. She was born on April 12, 1935 in Mohawk, a daughter of the late Smith and Mildred (Moyer) Mabbett and was a graduate of Mohawk High School, 'Class of 1953.' Her marriage to Joseph Schwasnick took place at St. Mary's Church in Little Falls, on June 2, 1956. Together Mr. & Mrs. Schwasnick owned and operated the Schwasnick Family Dairy Farm. She was a member of the Mohawk Reformed Church. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Joe, a son Kirk Schwasnick and his wife Shelly of Mohawk and a daughter Kay Margevich and her husband Robert of Marietta, South Carolina, 6 grandchildren, six great - grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and In-Laws. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 25, 2014 at 10:15 AM from The Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 North Washington Street, Herkimer and at 11:00 AM at the Mohawk Reformed Church, South Otsego Street, Mohawk, with services offered by Rev. Brian Engel. Interment will take place in Mohawk Cemetery (Village). Calling hours at the Enea Family Funeral Home will be on Monday, Nov. 24th from 6 until 8 PM.
