Obituary of Florence M. Bacher

LITTLE FALLS - Mrs. Florence M. Bacher died on Sunday morning December 14, 2014 in Little Falls, NY where she had lived for many years. Her age was 95. She was born on September 15, 1919 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, a daughter of the late Bryant and Hazel (White) Kelly and had lived the greater part of her life in the Little Falls area. She attended St. Mary's Academy. Her marriage to Corliss R. Bacher took place on February 14, 1948 in St. Mary's Church of Little Falls. Their 35 years of marriage were filled with love. Mr. Bacher passed away on February 23, 1983. Florence worked for over 18 years with P & K Dress Shop as a presser. She then went on to work at Little Falls Hospital as a nurse aide for twelve years. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish. The picture of Florence with her obituary was taken at her 90th birthday party. In her words it was such a very special occasion whereas she had "the best time of her life." Her kids and grandkids were there and they all had a great time. She absolutely loved it and all had a great time. She was so thankful for that very special day. She is survived by her children, Richard C. Bacher and his wife Sandra of Dolgeville, Karen LeGrand and her husband Roger of Liverpool, NY, and Deborah Varlaro - Knight and her husband John of Whitesboro, a special sister - in - law, Mary Bacher of Little Falls, 8 grandchildren, several great - grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Florence was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and siblings Reha Kelly, Mary Bokowski, Vera Kraszewski, Rose Jones, Bryant Kelly, William Kelly and Frank Kelly. Her funeral arrangements are with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street in Little Falls, NY. Harry J. Enea & Kevin E. Enea, Funeral Directors are serving the family (315) 823-2424. There are no calling hours. A small gathering for prayer in memory of Florence will be held on Friday morning December 19, 2014 at 10:00 AM at her gravesite next to her husband in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills, NY.
