TOWN OF MANHEIM, NY - Mr. Albert J. Skowronski, age 89, of Snells Bush Road, entered into rest early Monday morning December 15, 2014 at the family residence surrounded with prayer and love. He was born on September 14, 1925 in Derby, Connecticut, a son of the late John and Sophia (Tecza) Skowronski and was a graduate of high school in Connecticut. He went on to serve our country in World War II with tours in Germany and the Philippines. His marriage to Anna N. Fama took place on May 8, 1948 in Holy Rosary Church, Ansonia, Connecticut. The couple shared in a blessed union and Mrs. Skowronski preceded Albert in death. For over 33 years he had worked with B.F. Goodrich Rubber and was last employed as a security guard with Chromium Processing of Shelton, Connecticut. Albert had lived in upstate New York since 2008 and was of the Roman Catholic faith. He is survived by his children, Albert R. Skowronski and his wife Lori of Ansonia, Connecticut, Ann Marie Renda and her husband Louis of Little Falls, and Rudolph Skowronski and his wife Carol of Alfred, Maine, grandchildren, Denise, Adam, Mia, Jesse, Constance, Gabriel, Mark, Bridget, Isaac, Clare, Joseph, Jamie, Jeanette, Nathaniel, Christina, Louis and Helen, ten great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, his parents, his son Peter, and siblings. Friends may greet the family on Saturday December 20th, 2014 from 10 AM until Noon at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby, Connecticut. On Saturday within the noon hour, his funeral procession will leave the funeral home for the burial at St. Michael's Cemetery in Derby.
