MOHAWK - Mr. Richard A. "Rich" Miller, Sr., age 58, of Mohawk, NY, passed away unexpectedly surrounded with family love on Monday February 16th, 2015 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, NY. Rich was blessed to have his family and friends at his side. He was born on December 7th, 1956 in Herkimer, NY a son of the late John & Pearl (Garlock) Miller. He was educated in Mohawk schools and had lived for over twenty years in Texas. He had worked with American Cotton Growers in Littlefield, Texas and as well with Curtains & Fabrics in Herkimer, NY as a machine operator. His greatest times were spent fishing, hunting, and having great times with family and friends with parties. Great times were especially centered around his large bonfires. He is survived by his beloved family, his daughter Rebecca Miller and her wife Kimberley Celi, his son Richard A. Miller, Jr., his longtime companion, Penny (Penelope) Reel, his stepchildren, Angie and her husband Russell, Jason and his wife Becky, Elizabeth and her companion Dennis, Matthew and his companion Sara, and Courtney, his siblings, sisters, Janet Miller, Sandra Fikes, Kathy Manno and her companion Dave, and Georgia Willsey and her companion Marty Mills, II, a brother Stanley Miller and his wife Jackie, his half brothers and sisters, Joyce, Dorothy, Lorie, Nancy, Jane and her companion Carl, Joan, Lisa, Sherrie, Bobby, Jerry, Johnnie and Jamie, his grandchildren, Shelby, Sabrina, Alexandria, Brooklyn, Blake, Wyatt, Keira, Jasper, Megan, Dillion, Kassi, Cheyanne, Noah, Sawyer, Madison, Annie, Trenton, Adrianna, & Logan, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends and family too many to mention. He also leaves his loving dogs Schnook and Dakota. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Ronald, and his step - mother Sarah Miller.
