Obituary of Richard H. Munger

LITTLE FALLS - Mr. Richard H. "Dick" Munger, age 71, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family at his side on Thursday evening March 5, 2015. He was born on December 11, 1943 in Little Falls, a son of the late Alfred S. & Lois E. (Smith) Munger. Dick graduated with Little Falls High School, 'Class of 1963.' He was united in marriage in 1970 with the former Sandra A. Samson in Little Falls. Together Dick & Sandy cherished family time and the love of their children and grandchildren. Sandy was always there at Dick's side. He was last employed with Burrows Paper Corporation in Little Falls. He retired in 2005. For over twenty years he also worked for P & C throughout the Mohawk Valley. He was a former Little Falls Call Fireman, and found great pleasure in the hobbies of bowling, fishing, and golfing. He was also so very happy when in the company of his beloved dogs, Augie and Abby. He was simply put a great guy and will be dearly missed. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Walter E. Munger in 1942, and brothers James G. Munger in 2002 and Alfred D. "Skip" Munger in 2014. He is survived by his family, his wife Sandy, his children, Jeffrey Munger and his wife Gina of Palm Harbor, Florida, Rick Munger and his wife Tracy of Louisa, Virginia, and Jill Florian and her husband Chris of Little Falls, his sisters, Patricia E. Foshee and her husband, Daniel, of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas, and Linda A. Maida and her husband, Gregory, of Herkimer; his sister-in-law, Jeanne Munger of Little Falls; and his grandchildren, Josh, Zachary, Taylor, Luke, and Joey and many nieces, nephews and cousins. His funeral arrangements are with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street in Little Falls. Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea (315) 823-2424.
