Obituary of Anna Kuchma

LITTLE FALLS - Mrs. Anna Kuchma, age 90, died peacefully on Sunday morning, March 22, 2015 in Herkimer, NY. She was born on December 5, 1924 in Poland, Europe, a daughter of the late John and Sophia (Siemiontkowski) Chojnicki and was educated in schools there. She married Michael Kuchma in Europe in 1946. Mr. Kuchma died on March 17, 1995. She last worked with Salada Foods in Little Falls as a Tea Packer. She worked at Allegro Shoe in Little Falls at one time. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Polish National Catholic Church in Little Falls and sang with the Frederick Chopin Choir and enjoyed the Ladies Society at church. She loved flowers and gardening as well as knitting and crocheting. She is survived by siblings in Europe, three sons, Henry Kuchma and wife Nina of Newport, Richard Kuchma and wife Marilyn of Omaha, Nebraska, and George Kuchma of Utica, a daughter, Lela Decker of St. Johnsville, NY, grandchildren, Michael Kuchma, Christopher Kuchma, and Sonja Hosler, four great - grandchildren, Azumi and Kent Kuchma, and Clark and Anastasia Hosler and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several siblings. Her funeral arrangements have been planned with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street in Little Falls, NY (315) 823-2424. Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea. Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 26, 2015 at 2 PM at the funeral home with Father Rafael Dadello, (Anna's parish priest), officiating. Calling hours at the funeral home are one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday (1PM until 2PM). Spring interment will take place in the parish cemetery, town of Herkimer.
