SALISBURY CENTER - Mrs. Irma B. Krawec, age 87, of Salisbury Center, NY, died Monday April 6, 2015 at the Folts Home in Herkimer, NY. Irma was born on April 18, 1927 in Monroe, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Thomas and Evvie (Burchell) McGowen. Her marriage to Stephen Krawec took place in Dolgeville on August 29, 1952. They nearly celebrated 50 years of marriage until the passing of Mr. Krawec on March 9, 2002. Irma worked with the Daniel Green Company of Dolgeville for over 40 years. She along with her husband were very active with crafts through the years, and Irma loved spending time with her flower garden. She cherished all of the wonderful moments spent with her grandkids as well. Survivors include her son Scott Krawec of Salisbury Center, five grandchildren, Tessie Maxwell, Nicole Krawec, and Jennifer Krawec - Hill, Melanie Smith, and Stephanie Dickens, five great - grandchildren, her siblings, Jo Dumas and James McGowen, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and son, Gary. Her funeral arrangements are with Brian A. Roberts of the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 East Faville Avenue, Dolgeville, NY. (315) 429-3144.
