ILION - Anita L. Davis, age 84, of Prindle Apts., Ilion, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 11, 2015. She was born on September 3, 1930, in Coventry, R.I., the daughter of Leon and Rosina (Pelletier) Biron, and attended schools in Coventry, R.I. On May 31, 1952, she was married to William "Bill" A. Davis in West Warwick, R.I. He died in June of 2008. Anita was employed as a test operator at MDS of Herkimer for nineteen years. She was also employed in the Statement Rendering Dept. of Fleet Services Corp., Utica. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Emmanuel Bible Church of Mohawk. Anita was the last of the Biron girls. Surviving family members include her daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Ann and Ronald Engell, of Ilion, and Janet and Eric Scholl, of Kentucky; her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Laurie Davis, of Evans Mills, NY; four grandchildren, Frederick Engell and his wife, Maria, Jason Engell and his wife, Katrina, Christopher Prentiss, and William Davis; one great-granddaughter, Claire Engell; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters, Claire Bosquet, Aldea Montigny, Therese Dutilly, Annette Martin and Rita Biron; and two brothers, Joe and Leo Biron. In keeping with Anita's wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Interment will be at National Cemetery at Saratoga Springs.
