Obituary of Pearl I. Moshinskie

ST. JOHNSVILLE - Mrs. Pearl I. (McCord) Moshinskie, age 89, a longtime resident of Crouse Boulevard in St. Johnsville, NY, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday April 23, 2015 at the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. The staff of the Nursing Center are very much appreciated for the care extended. She was born on April 14, 1926 in Gardiner, NY, a daughter of the late Arthur and Suestia (Kitner) McCord and was a graduate of New Paltz High School, Class of 1945. Her marriage to Arthur W. Moshinskie, Sr. took place October 30, 1948 in Gardiner. Mr. Moshinskie passed away on March 19, 1979. Pearl enjoyed her position as a Teacher's Aide with the Fort Plain School District for many years. At one time she was actively involved with the St. Johnsville Reformed Church and was very fond of flowers and gardening. She was also known to enjoy wearing her red hat. She is survived by her children, Arthur Moshinskie, Jr. and his wife Sol of Montana, Steven Moshinskie of Syracuse, Sally Rush and her fiancée Kevin Hoffman of St. Johnsville and Jeffrey Moshinskie of Arkansas, her grandchildren, Nicole Failing and her husband George of St. Johnsville, Becca Rush of St. Johnsville, Kaitlyn Rush, and Taylor Hoffman of St. Johnsville and Stephanie Moshinskie of Fort Plain, four great - grandchildren, Gabrielle Moshinskie, Mackenzie Wintermute, Seth Wintermute and Payton Failing, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons, Michael and Allen, and her daughter Kari. Her funeral arrangements are with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in St.Johnsville. Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea (518) 568-2300. A private calling hour and funeral service will be held on Monday April 27, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in St. Johnsville Cemetery. Those wishing to remember Pearl in a special way are asked to consider a donation to the St. Johnsville Reformed Church.
