Obituary of Steven R. Williams

LITCHFIELD - Steven "Steve" R. Williams, age 83, of Berberick Rd., Frankfort (Town of Litchfield), passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown, NY. He was born on July 2, 1931, in Cedarville, the son of Harry and Ella (McDonald) Williams, and attended West Winfield School. Steve worked for many years at the Williams farm in Litchfield. He loved the farm, cows and nature. Steve was a very kind and gentle man. Surviving family members include his sister, Hortense Williams, with whom he resided; his brother and sister-in-law, Martin and Mary Williams, of Frankfort; several nieces and nephews, including Mark Williams and his fiancée, Vicki Littke; and several cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers, Harold "Stub" Williams, Russell and John Williams. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2015, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home's newly reopened home at 102 West St., Ilion, with Pastor David C. Green, of the Living Faith Bible Church in Sauquoit, officiating. Interment will be held later this spring at Litchfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, April 27, 2015, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., prior to the funeral home service at 102 West St., Ilion.
