Mr. Richard Hunter Dickson 78 of 5712 State Highway Rt29A, Stratford, died Wednesday April 29, 2015 at his residence of natural causes. Richard was born in Mt. Kisco, New York on February 12, 1937 the son of the late Charles Hunter and Emily (Smith) Dickson and was educated in schools there. He was united in marriage to Janet Dunstan on August 31, 1957 in Yorktown Heights, New York. Richard was employed by the E.J. Kennedy Transport Company of Stony Point, New York as a tractor trailer driver. He retired in 1999. His affiliations included the Sons of Norway in Mahopac, NY and the Teamsters Union Locals #807 & 445. His personal interests were in hunting and his antique auto "1948 Oldsmobile". He is remembered by his family and friends as a hard worker who always put his family first. He is survived by his wife Janet of 57 years, his sons Douglas Dickson of New Hampshire, Brian H. (Carolyn) Dickson of Stormville, New York, Russell and his wife Hana Dickson of Johnstown, his grandchildren Stephanie, Kimberley, Jennifer, Heather and William, several brothers & Sisters and Nieces and Nephews.
