Obituary of Lucy A. Brown

LITTLE FALLS - Mrs. Lucy A. Brown, age 92, a longtime resident of King Street in Little Falls, passed away on Friday May 15, 2015 at the Alpine Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Little Falls. She was born on February 14, 1923 in Little Falls, a daughter of the late Anthony & Mary (Pietrafesa) Pasquale and was educated in Little Falls schools. She was married to Joseph Brown who passed away in 1968. Lucy was last employed with Little Falls Felt Shoe in St. Johnsville. Lucy was a lifelong and active resident of the City of Little Falls. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish and was a former member of the Rock City Senior Citizens. She was a past president of the DeCarlo - Staffo Aux. In 2009 Lucy was honored as 'Senior Citizen of the Year,' and most recently on May 14th of this year was honored as Little Falls WCA 'Woman of Distinction.' This was a very special event. Her personal interests were inclusive to reading and ceramics, and she was a fan of the New York Yankees. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews including Barry Smith (Jean), Christina Davis (Ginnie), Debra Davis Thorsland (Mica), E.J. Davis, and Roy Calafrancesco (Sandy), and many great nieces and nephews, including Qunitin & Mitchell Smith, Abby & Reece Thorsland, and Nic Ivancic, and her sister - in - law, Doris Pasquale. Lucy was predeceased by her sisters, Carmella Calafrancesco and Mary Smith, and her brothers Salvadore (Phil), Emilio, Rocco, and Mike Pasquale. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street in Little Falls, with Deacon Joseph DeLorenzo, officiating. Interment will follow the memorial service at St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. There are no calling hours. Donations in memory of Lucy may be considered to the Little Falls Food Pantry.
