Obituary of Arlene Myers

ST. JOHNSVILLE - Mrs. Arlene (McFee) Myers, age 88, of Union Street in St. Johnsville, NY, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday morning June 6, 2015. Arlene was blessed to have the comfort of loving and caring family at her side. She was born July 9, 1926 in the town of Cherry Valley, NY, daughter of the late Kenneth and Mabel (Wiles) McFee and attended Fort Plain schools. Her marriage to Stanley A. Myers took place on August 5, 1945 at the United Methodist Church of Fort Plain. The couple shared in 58 years of marriage until the passing of Stanley on November 5, 2003. For many years Arlene worked with Nestle Co. (Beech - Nut) of Canajoharie as an office director. Generations of family before Arlene had worked there as well. Arlene was a member of the United Methodist Church of Fort Plain. Survivors include her family, her children, Larry Myers and his wife Margaret of Rochester, and Lorraine Terranova of Herkimer, her brother Robert McFee of South Carolina, her grandchildren, Ronald Sanguine, II and his wife Annette, James Trautman, Sandra Eastman and her husband Jeff, Michael Myers and his wife Grazina, and Christopher Myers. Mrs. Myers is also survived by great - grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins and a sister - in - law, Marjorie Hayes of St. Johnsville. She was predeceased by a daughter, Arlynne Trautman and a brother Kenneth McFee. Her family has planned all arrangements with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in St. Johnsville, NY. Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea (518) 568-2300. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 4 until 7 PM. There will be a prayer service at the conclusion of calling hours at the funeral home chapel with Rev. R.W. Williams officiating. The family will hold a private burial service on Saturday June 13, 2015 next to her husband Stanley at the West St. Johnsville Cemetery. Arlene received tender loving care from the staff of the Mountain Valley Hospice as well as from her grandchildren including Ron and Annette. It was because of this very special attention that she maintained the comfortable surroundings of her home where she truly wanted to be. The family is very grateful.
