Obituary of Amellia 'Molly" DeNinno

Mrs. Amelia (Fragiacomo ) "Molly" DeNinno, 102, a lifetime resident of Dolgeville, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 13, 2015 at the Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, Little Falls, NY. She was born in Italy, on September 17, 1912, the daughter of Innocenza and Nicholas Fragiacomo, and immigrated to the United States with her parents in 1914. Her family first settled in Utica, before moving to Dolgeville in 1918. Her marriage to Daniel "Danny" DeNinno took place on July 10, 1965 in St. Joseph's Church in Dolgeville. They shared a blessed union for over 22 years, until he passed away on August 16, 1987. Molly was employed by the former Daniel Green Company of Dolgeville for over 50 years, working as a seamstress, retiring in 1978. Molly and her husband Danny were lifelong active members of St. Joseph's Church. They were also very involved in the Little Falls Elks Club, where they enjoyed Friday and Saturday night dinners and social gatherings. Molly also served as a President of the Lady Elks BPOE #42 and was an active member of the Dolgeville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Molly was happiest attending family gatherings and traveling with her husband to places such as Hawaii, California, Florida, Canada and especially Italy. She is survived by her Nieces and their husbands Mary Lou and John Huddleston of Dolgeville, Debra and Bruce Foster of Salisbury. Her great nieces Colleen Huddleston of Dolgeville, Nicole Foster Roche and Megan Foster Williams both of Saratoga, a great Nephew CJ Huddleston of Altamonte Springs, Florida, plus several great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel, two sisters Elvera "Bema"DeLucco and Congetta "Connie" Leavitt and her brothers Antonio "Tony' and Raymond 'Ray" Fragiacomo. Great appreciation is extended to Doctors U. Wadhera and O. Wadhera for their many years of medical care and to Dr. Michael Abraham for his most recent care. An additional thank you to the Staff at Alpine Nursing home for their compassionate care of Molly in her final years. A Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday June 17th, 2015 at 9am, at St. Joseph's Church on Helmer Avenue Dolgeville. Rev. Terrance Healy, assisted by Deacon Peter Manno will be the celebrants. Burial will be PRIVATE in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are NO Calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Church, Helmer Avenue Dolgeville, New York 13329. Her arrangements have been entrusted to Brian A. Roberts of the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville.
