Obituary of Joseph Allen Durrant

ST. JOHNSVILLE - The Lord has called upon Joseph Allen Durrant to join the angels in Heaven in the late afternoon of June 29, 2015 at the age of 24. His passing occurred in the comfort of his home at 18 Kingsbury Avenue in St. Johnsville where he received the utmost tender loving care through the years from his devoted mother Rebecca. His mom has planned all arrangements for Joey with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in Saint Johnsville, NY, under the direction of Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea (518) 568-2300. Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Sunday July 12, 2015 from 1 o'clock until 4 o'clock PM. A Catholic funeral service will be offered at the conclusion of calling hours in the funeral home chapel, with Seminarian Frank Vivacqua, officiating. He was born on December 10, 1990 in Rockville, Connecticut, son of Rebecca Anne Durrant and Mark Maloon. It was a very special occasion upon which Joey graduated from St. Johnsville & Mayfield schools. He attended the BOCES Program in Mayfield as well. He is survived by his mother Rebecca and his father Mark, grandparents, Karen Wilsey (Don) and David Durrant, his gramma Maloon and gramma Walllace, great - grandmother, Virginia Lacey, sisters, Kaylee M. Durrant, Brooke M. Baker, Alisha M. Baker, Chelsea Gauthier, and Mary Maloon, brothers, Nathan & Jamie Gauthier and Mark Maloon, his niece, Isabelle Marie Sweet and nephew Kayden Gauthier, and aunts and uncles Candice Isham, Tammy Studevant, David & John Durrant, Sandy Leubner, Robbie Bogley, Judy Ferenez, Amy Maloon, and Lynette Maloon. He was predeceased by his aunts Karenina Durrant and Dawn Bogley and his grandpa Wallace. Joe was a fighter whose smile could take your breath away. He was joyful, happy and never sad and had amazing skin. He had an amazing will for life itself and a bond with his mother unlike any other. Online notes of sympathy may be left at www.eneafamily.com on the Internet. The family is grateful to the Albany Medical Center and the Little Falls Hospital.
