Obituary of Rose Darling

Mrs. Rose V. Darling 94 a lifelong resident of Dolgeville, and who has been a resident of Valley Health Services, died there on Sunday evening August 23, 2015. Rosie as she was known was born in Dolgeville, on June 16, 1921 the daughter of the late John and Angelina (Politi) Covuoto and attended local schools. She was married to Ralph Darling on September 6, 1952 in Dolgeville. He predeceased her on January 1, 2008. Rose was of the Catholic Faith, and will be remembered by her family as an outstanding cook, and for her knitting, crocheting and doing crafts with her grandchildren. She enjoyed a good black jack game of cards and was always playing lottery tickets. Her family was utmost important to her. She is survived by her children and their families, A son and his wife Gerald and Lynne Darling and their children Laura, Caitlin and Nicholas, her daughters and their families, Donna LaBruzzo and her Companion Vince of Richfield Springs, her children Joe, Gino, Anthony and Theresa, a daughter Linda Lawrence and her companion Michael of Cullen and her children Joseph and Andrew. Her Great grandchildren Adam, and Lucy Pullis, Emmitt LaBruzzo and Mickayla, & MacKenzie Lawrence. Several Nieces and Nephews, cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers Vincent, John and Andrew Covouto, her sister Chancy Miller, Sophie Franchino, Josephine Cooney, Mary Loccia, and Lucy Enea. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 26th, 2015 at Noon at the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. Deacon James Bower of St. Joseph's Church will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 AM until Noon on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorials in her name can be made to the Dolgeville Food Pantry c/o the United Methodist Church Helmer Avenue Dolgeville. A remembrance of Rose or a message of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.robertsandene.com. Her arrangements were prearranged with her nephew Harry J. Enea Jr. Funeral Director.
