Obituary of Beverly D. Stagliano

HERKIMER – Beverly D. (Scanlon) Stagliano, a lifelong Herkimer resident, passed away surrounded with love on Sunday October 11, 2015 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown at the age of 83. She was born on August 23, 1932 in Herkimer, a daughter to the late William and Bertha (Graves) Scanlon and was educated in local schools. A mother first, she worked at S.E. Nichols Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician for many years. She was last employed with Herkimer County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy Sheriff until 1988. She was a member of the Church of Sts. Anthony & Joseph. Survivors include six children, Alan Martel and his wife Jan of Grand Gorge, NY, Lynda Martel of Louisiana, Joseph Stagliano and his wife Gloria of Poughkeepsie, NY, Jo Ann La Due and her husband Layne of Herkimer, NY, Mary Pat Varlaro and her husband Christopher of Granbury, Texas, and Philomena Lumia and her husband Paul of Herkimer, NY, eight grandchildren, Nicholette Buddle and her husband John, Shannon Farrell and her husband Mark, Shawn McMahon and his wife Jennifer, J.C. Tadayeski and his wife Ashley, Brianne Manczak and her husband Ryan, Michael La Due and his wife Brandi, Andria Hartman and her husband Adam, and Dane Robinson, her three sisters, Eleanor Thompson of Herkimer, Ruth Cumm of Herkimer, and Nona Stewart of Maryland, one brother Reginald Scanlon of West Winfield, sister-in-law Dorothy Scanlon of Herkimer, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents as well as siblings, Anna, Alta, William, and Donald and in-laws Leo, Clarence, Roselle, Joyce, Henry, Sophie, and Donald. The family has planned her cremation services with Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 North Washington Street in Herkimer, NY (F.K.A. Holleran’s Funeral Parlor). Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E. Main Street, Herkimer, on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 9 A.M. with Father Quy Vo, officiating. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Tupper Lake, NY will be at the family’s convenience.
