Obituary of Anthony G. Zajaczkowski

ST. JOHNSVILLE – Anthony G. Zajaczkowski, Sr. of Tillboro Road in St. Johnsville, passed away at the age of 35 surrounded with the deepest love of his family on Friday November 27, 2015 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. Tony and Dana raised their children in the beautiful country setting of Ephratah. He was born December 28, 1979 in Amsterdam, NY, a son of William Zajaczkowski and Leigh (Witzke) Yerdon. He graduated with Johnstown Senior High School, Class of 1998. His marriage to Dana DiMaio took place November 20, 2004 in Johnstown. Tony built pallets with Rehrig Pacific out of Mayfield, NY and had worked in the Asbestos Industry for over ten years. His passions in life included his dogs and cats and animals in general, fishing and hunting and Tony just loved nature. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers football team. First and foremost were his children. Tony lived and worked for his kids. He is survived by his beloved family, wife Dana, his children, Anthony, Jr., Aubree, and Avery, his mother Leigh Yerdon and her husband Doug of Johnstown, his father Bill Zajaczkowski of Amsterdam, grandfather, Harry Witzke of Johnstown, his sisters, Rebecca Graham and her husband Shaun of Broadalbin and Courtney Zajaczkowski of Johnstown, a brother Michael Zajaczkowski of Amsterdam, his sister – in – law, Nicole DiMaio of St. Johnsville, a niece, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Michael “Mitch” Zajaczkowski. The family has planned all funeral arrangements with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in St. Johnsville, NY. Funeral Directors John Lewandowski and Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea (518) 568-2300. A memorial service will be held on Thursday December 3, 2015 at 6:00 PM at the Johnstown Reformed Church, 351 North Perry Street in Johnstown with Reverend Brian Dykema, Pastor, officiating.
