FORT PLAIN- Mrs. Mary L. Veit, 78, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 14, 1937, in Quincy, MA, daughter of the late William and Loretta (Albinger) Klinkhammer. On February 22, 1957 she was united in marriage with Karl Veit. Theirs was a loving union that lasted over 58 years. Mary, along with her husband were owners and operated Veit Farms since 1970. She was very devoted to her family. She is survived by her husband Karl; her daughter Gail Rivkowich and her husband David of Fort Plain; her sons: William Veit and his wife Beth of Palatine Bridge, Richard Veit and his wife Claudia of Fort Plain and Ronald Veit and his wife Dawn of Chipley FL; her 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, her sister Wilma Klinkhammer of Florida and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Joanne Cloutier and her great grandson Jalen. In keeping with Mary's wishes there are no calling hours. The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the care and love they showed to Mary and her family.
