Obituary of Darryl V. Harrington

LITTLE FALLS:Darryl Harrington, aged 72 of Little Falls, NY passed away on December 18th, 2015 after a short courageous battle with cancer. He passed into the care of God in the presence of his wife and with family members at his side. Born on June 22nd 1943 in Rochester, England to parents Constance and Albert Harrington, Darryl is survived by his wife Susan, his sons Keith, Jon and Lynn, his daughters in law Laura and Toni, his grandchildren Laura, Patrick, Alice, twins Luke and Ruby, Jake, Ellen and twins Jack and Charlie, and Sue’s daughter and son, Amy and Josh. Darryl was passionate about his family and all things to do with trains and railways. He loved to travel, especially back to see family and the preserved railways across Europe. He was quite the skilled handyman and loved woodworking and house renovation. Darryl was known for the way he made friends everywhere he went, striking up a conversation with friends and strangers alike. He was active in the Little Falls community as a Rotary member and former President, and as a member of Main Street First. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 5th 2016 at Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls (315)823-2424 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. A Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be held at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Albany Street, Little Falls on Wednesday January 6th 2016 at 11:00 AM with The Rev. Dr. Steven Scarcia, Rector officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Darryl’s memory to the Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
