LITTLE FALLS- Mr. Roselle G. Comstock, 79, of Little Falls, a former resident of Salisbury Center for 52 years and Valley View Courts for the past 8 years went to sleep in the arms of his Lord and Savior on January 1, 2016. He was born on July 29, 1936, in Dolgeville, the son of the late Arthur and Edith (Voorhese) Comstock. On June 18, 1955, he married Elizabeth (Bette) Youker in Fairfield, NY. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past year. He had worked in several shoe factories including Allegro where he was a supervisor of the lasting department. In 1998 he took an early retirement from Uni Manufacturing, Gloversville. He was a former member of the Full Gospel Assembly of God, Salisbury Center, where he served as a board member, Sunday School Teacher and a Royal Ranger leader. He was also a former Cub Master for a few years in Stratford. He is survived by his wife Bette, 3 sons: George (Sharon) Comstock, James (April) Comstock and Dennis (Donna) Comstock and his daughter Theresa Amthor; 3 brothers: Arthur (Marie) Comstock, Lawrence (companion Virginia) Comstock and Sidney (Norma) Comstock, and his sister Virginia (Wally) Sherman, 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, his cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his in laws: Carolyn (Arnold) Brown, Eleanor (Jack) Wilhelm, Joyce Youker, Earlene Youker and a special aunt Dorothy Stanley. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Willis Comstock, his sister Lillian Hilley, his great granddaughter Alyia Smith, his in laws William and Orilla Youker and Deborah Blow, William Youker Jr. and William Amthor. Memorial visitation will be held from 1-2pm on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls. A religious service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours with Pastor Ron German officiating. Procession will follow to Dibble- Tuttle Cemetery, Salisbury. The family would like to give special thanks to the Oneida County Hospice and Pallative Care, Dr. Douglas Haas and the staff and doctors in the 4th floor special care unit at St. Elizabeth's Hospital and to Pastor Robert Brent and Pastor Ron German for the love and devotion they gave to Roselle and his family.
