Mrs. Phyllis (Fiorentino) Mirgo, a lifelong Herkimer resident, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on January 21, 2016 in Herkimer, NY. She was born on July 7, 1927 in Herkimer, NY a daughter to the late Nicholas and Mary (Terico) Fiorentino. She attended Herkimer schools. Her husband, William Mirgo, preceded her in death in 1993. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church in Herkimer, NY. She is survived by her son, William M. Mirgo of Herkimer, her daughter Diane M. D’Amelio and her husband Dean of Frankfort and her grandchildren, Paul Dack and Melanie D’Amelio. Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday January 26, 2016 at 10:00 am in Saint Francis de Sales Church, Herkimer with the Very Reverend Mark Cunningham V.F., Pastor officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, in the spring. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the 5th floor staff of the Folts Home in Herkimer for their compassionate care.
