Obituary of Mary E. Bouck

HERKIMER – Mrs. Mary Emma (Carpenter) (Casey) Bouck, of Herkimer, lost her long battle with dementia and entered into eternal peace on March 1, 2016 in Herkimer, NY. She was born on April 30, 1930 in Meriden, Connecticut, the daughter of the Henry and Marion Carpenter (Blais). Her marriage to Myron Bouck on September 8, 1972 was a dedicated union that was honored for 31 years until his death in 2003. They enjoyed over 20 happy years in Florida where Mary had a leading role in the “Tropicaires” musical productions that told her love for singing and dancing. She was also a very talented artist. Her happiest memories were those made at her camp on Perkins Lane on Canadarago Lake in Richfield Springs, NY. She especially looked forward to her out of the ordinary annual “Christmas in August” parties that she celebrated with family and friends. She was blessed being Nonnie to 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and six great, great-grandchildren. Her affectionate nature lit up a room and will be a forever bond to those who loved her. Survivors include her daughters Jacqueline Murphy of Mohawk, Judy (William) Nudo of Herkimer, and Jan (Robert) Nudo of Gansevoort, NY, daughter-in-law, Theresa Casey of Mohawk, and sister-in-law, Catherine Carpenter of Herkimer. Step-children, Christopher, Michael, Erin, and Matthew Bouck, several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Also a special friend, Donna Whitebread of Salisbury, North Carolina. She was predeceased by her son, Donald J. Casey, her brothers, William G. and Henry W. Carpenter, and her parents. Mary’s girls would like to acknowledge the staff at Home Life at Folts and her Hospice team for the warmth, caring, kindness and patience always shown to her. They will be forever grateful. All funeral arrangements have established with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 North Washington Street in Herkimer, NY, under the direction of Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea (315) 866-1011. Friends are invited to call at Enea Family Funeral Home on North Washington Street in Herkimer on Sunday March 6th from 3 until 5 PM. A memorial prayer service will be held immediately following calling hours at the funeral home with Rev. Janet Gleason officiating. Spring interment is set to take place on Friday April 15, 2016 at 11:30 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer, NY.
