ST. JOHNSVILLE – Mrs. Lillian E. Corso passed away peacefully at the age of 94 at the St. Johnsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on March 12, 2016. She was a longtime St. Johnsville resident and was blessed with the presence of her son and daughter – in – law by her side. She was the daughter of the late George and Mildred (Curtis) Salisbury. Early in life she was married to William Henry Hallenbeck . After his passing in 1966, she later married Anthony L. Corso, Sr. until his passing on July 26, 1971. She was predeceased also by one daughter, Patty, five brothers, Raymond, Foster, Roy, Richard, and George, Jr. Also, three sisters, Dorthy and two infant sisters. Lillian attended Cobleskill schools and worked her entire life until retirement, most recently at the Allegro Shoe Company in St. Johnsville and then in Little Falls, and lastly at Little Falls Footwear in St. Johnsville. Survivors include her eleven children, Cheryl and Gary Suits of St. Johnsville, Mary – Lou Sweet and her partner Roger Smith of Arizona, Kathy and Scot Reitenauer of Ilion, Larry and Cathy Hallenbeck of Ilion, Sherry Bishop and her partner Bob Waite of Gloversville, Thelma Smith of Howe Cave, Henrietta Hallenbeck of Troy, William Hallenbeck, Jr., of Gilboa, Linda Merchant of Sharon Springs, Pamela of Selkirk and Judy. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great – grandchildren as well as two sisters, Shirley and Ethal.
