ILION – Pauline E. VanNort, age 86, of Prindle Apts., Ilion, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 24, 2016, after a brief illness. She was born on September 4, 1929, in Schuyler Lake, NY, the daughter of Leon and Paulina (Green) Byard, and graduated from Richfield Springs High School. On March 11, 1978, she was married to Lloyd N. VanNort. Pauline was employed as an LPN-Therapist at Sunnyside Nursing Home in E. Syracuse for several years. Surviving family members include her son, Donald Seamon and his wife, Prudence, of Lockport, and Garry Seamon, of Syracuse; 2 grandchildren, Harmony Worral and her husband, Joseph, of Lockport, and Matthew Seamon, of Syracuse; 2 great-grandchildren, Jack and Tyler Worral, of Lockport; her brother, Squire Byard, of Ilion; several nieces, including 2 special nieces, Debra VanNort and Leslie VanNort, of Ilion; special nephew, Keith VanNort and his wife, Anna, of Ilion; and several cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd; her brother, Carl Byard; her grandson, Zachary Seamon; and her parents. In keeping with Pauline’s wishes, there are no scheduled public calling hours or funeral services. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family later this spring at Burlington Flatts Cemetery.
