Obituary of Henry F. Muller

MOHAWK: Henry F. Muller, 86, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare, New Hartford. Born in Utica on May 8, 1929, Henry was the son of the late Joe and Frances (Poplasky) Muller. He was raised and educated locally and proudly and honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army. On August 2, 1952 he was united in marriage to the former Carmeta Mason with whom he shared a blessed union of 63 years with. Henry worked as a head mason for Utica Concrete. Enjoying the outdoors and nature, he loved to farm and garden. Tinkering of all sorts was a special hobby for Henry, bringing new life to old items. He also loved the sports of badminton and croquet. Henry was a member of the Moose Lodge and was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church, Mohawk. He is survived by his wife, Carmeta; a sister, Diane Marlowe of Syracuse; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, including a great niece, Jessica Spatto. He is also survived by his in-laws, Joan and Bill Carmen, Jean Colonna and Roger and Mary Mason. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Enea Family Funeral Home (F.K.A. Holleran Funeral Service) 220 N. Washington Street, Herkimer, NY (315)866-1011. Henry’s Funeral Service will take place on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Sister Mary Jo Tallman, CSJ, Parish Life Director of Blessed Sacrament Church, officiating. Procession will then follow to Oak Hill cemetery, Herkimer where he will be laid to rest. Those wishing to make a donation in Henry’s memory may consider the German Flatts Town Park, PO Box 57, Mohawk, NY 13407 or Blessed Sacrament Church; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Harry J. and Kevin E. Enea, Funeral Directors.
