Obituary of Julia N. Ferdula

FRANKFORT – Mrs. Julia N. Ferdula, age 95, passed away Friday morning May 20, 2016. Julia was a resident of Frankfort, NY, and her passing occurred under the wonderful care of the Masonic Care Community. She was born on August 8, 1920 in Frankfort, a daughter of the late Daniel and Julia Sudakow. She attended local schools and was united in marriage to Joseph Ferdula. He passed away February 29, 1992. She worked for many years with General Electric, Bleecker Street in Utica as an assembler. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Church. Julia enjoyed nothing better than to tell stories of her upbringing and how things were. Her life revolved around her family and the principles of dedication and hard work. She is survived by her children, Daniel J. Ferdula and Stephanie Kelly of Frankfort, and Joseph T. Ferdula and his wife Sharon E. of Frankfort, her sister, Victoria Ferdula of East Worcester, NY, her grandchildren, Tammyjo Ferdula, Scott Ferdula, Bridget Ferdula, David Ferdula, John Ferdula, James Ferdula, Jessie Ferdula, Justin Paul Ferdula and Cheryl Berry (Parker). Also surviving are great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her grandson, Joseph M. Ferdula, as well as 12 other brothers and sisters. Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation for Julia, which will take place from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Monday, May 23, 2016, at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, (Town of Frankfort) Ilion, NY (315) 894-8000. Julia's funeral service will commence on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, beginning at 10:00 AM, from the funeral home, and at 10:30 AM, from Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, in Frankfort, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Paul Catena, Pastor. Burial will take place immediately after the Mass at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort. The Ferdula family has entrusted all funeral arrangements to Harry J. and Kevin E. Enea and Martin L.
