MOHAWK-HERKIMER: Harland T. “Ted” Mower, III passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at his home of natural causes. Born in Little Falls on October 12, 1961, Harland was the son of Harland A. Mower and Sharon (Wells) Goodman. Raised and educated locally he was a graduate of West Canada Valley High School. After high school he then enlisted into The United States Army, honorably serving his country as a Sergeant First Class and was enlisted from 1979 to 1996. Ted worked at one time for Walmart Distribution Center in Sharon Springs and was also a mail carrier in the Village of Herkimer. He enjoyed reading and watching old Western movies. Ted is survived by his father and stepmother, Harland and Dawn Mower of Little Falls; his mother and stepfather Sharon and Jeff Goodman of Middleville; his brother, Thomas Mower and wife Charlene of Little Falls; his sisters, Patricia Hillman and husband Michael and Bonnie Elwood and husband James all of Newport. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Harry J. and Kevin E.
