Obituary of Irene Rose Kwiecinski

Mrs. Irene Rose Kwiecinski 92, a resident of the Masonic Care Community since November 2008, and formerly of Andrews Avenue Yorkville, died Friday August 12th, 2016 at the Masonic Home. Irene was born in Utica, on June 7, 1924 the daughter of Peter and Mary (Sito) Warchal and attended Saint Stanislaus School and graduated from Proctor High School. She was united in marriage to Edward J. Kwiecinski on June 2nd, 1946 in St. Mary’s Church, New York Mills. Her husband predeceased her on January 17, 1991. Irene was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Church in New York Mills while residing in Yorkville, and also was a member of the Scared Heart Rosary Society of the Church. She also enjoyed the Hilltop Seniors and many of their outings. She was an avid ceramic molder and enjoyed her many summers at the family’s camp at Piseco Lake. She was most proud of her Polish heritage and passed the customs and traditions on to her family, who still observe them at the Holiday’s throughout the year. She is survived by a daughter and her husband and their family Diane and Brian Roberts of Dolgeville, Brian Jr. and his wife Erika and their children Brynn Annslee and Brian III, of Park City Utah, Brent and his sons John and Colin of Raleigh, N.C. and Bradford and his fiancée Molly Bonnell of Mohawk, NY, a son and his Family Edward J. Kwiecinski Jr. of Port Orange, Fl. His son Edward J. III of Port Orange, Fl, and his daughter Kayla of Melbourne, Fl., a Sister in Law Jane Warchal of Utica, several Nieces and Nephews and Cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter Denise Mary, a brother Chester Warchal and a sister and brother in law Catherine and Richard Kwiecinski, and a nephew David Warchal. Irene’s family will honor and commemorate her life in a Private gathering. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Irene’s’ Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning August 16th, 2016 at 10:30 Am in St. Mary’s/Sacred Heart Church in New York Mills. Her Mass will be offered by Rev. Arthur Krawczenko, Pastor. The family will receive friends at the conclusion of Mass. Burial will be private in St. Stanislaus & Casmir’s Cemetery, Whitesboro. The family extends a sincere Thank You to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Masonic Care Community, especially the Queens Unit for their care and assistance while Irene was a resident there.
