Obituary of Jerry Vulcano

FRANKFORT – Mr. Jerry Vulcano, age 69, a lifelong Frankfort resident, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday afternoon, September 10, 2016, in the privacy and comfort of his home. Born on December 7, 1946, Jerry is the son of Lena (Recchio) Vulcano and the late Angelo Vulcano. He was raised and educated in Frankfort, graduating with the Class of 1964. Upon completion of his schooling, Jerry attended barber school, and subsequently, ran his own barbershop in the Syracuse area for over thirty years. When he returned to Frankfort, Jerry held a position as a Maintenance Supervisor for Granny’s Kitchen, a position from which he eventually retired. Jerry was a man of family and faith. He held a deep spirituality which he practiced daily, and his presence will be missed by those he leaves behind. He is survived by his mother, Lena; his sons, Nicholas Vulcano and Joseph Vulcano; his sister-in-law, Marianne Vulcano of Frankfort; his nephews, Louis and Stephanie Vulcano of Whitesboro, and Michael and Liz Vulcano of Greenville, NY, as well as his great-nieces and great-nephew. He also leaves his aunts, Jesse Siniscarco and Ida DelGuidice, as well as many cousins and friends. Besides his father, Jerry was predeceased by his brother, Louis Vulcano in 2014. In keeping with Jerry’s wishes, there will be no public funeral services. His family will honor his memory and keep him in their hearts forever. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Martin L. Ciaccia, and Harry and Kevin Enea, of the Enea and Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, (Town of Frankfort) Ilion, NY.
