FRANKFORT – Mr. Vincent J. “Babe” Nicolette, of Watkins Road, Frankfort (Town of Schuyler, NY), passed away at the age of 88 on Tuesday October 11, 2016 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in the town of New Hartford, NY with his loving family at his side. He was born on October 9, 1928 in East Frankfort, NY, a son of the late Joseph and Rose (Cacciatore) Nicolette and was educated in Mohawk schools. He joined in marriage with Emilie J. Murdock on June 7, 1958, at the Frankfort United Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs Nicolette shared many wonderful years together. He was a member of the East Schuyler Methodist Church, and had served our country with the United States Air Force. He was last employed with J.A. Firsching Manufacturing, in Utica, NY as an Inspector. He is survived by his two sons, Timothy Nicolette and his wife Denise of Chenango Forks, N.Y., and Joseph Nicolette and his wife Nicole of Utica, N.Y.; his mother-in-law, Bridget Murdock of Schuyler, two sisters and a brother-in-law: Marion Pizer of Ilion and Madeline Stephenson and her husband John of Ilion, and a brother and sister–in –law, Enos Nicolette and his wife Lillian of Mohawk, along with many special and close nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Emilie on April 20, 2005, his sisters, Rose Baldwin and Julia Nicolette and his , brothers, Samuel, Joseph, John and Angelo Nicolette and his father-in-law, Harold Murdock. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning, October 14, at 10 a.m. from the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road Ilion, NY, (Main Street between Frankfort and Ilion), with Pastor John Reams officiating. Interment will follow at East Schuyler Miller Cemetery.
