Obituary of Irma T. Weaver

ST. JOHNSVILLE – Mrs. Irma T. (Snyder) Weaver, born in 1927, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning October 29, 2016 under the care of the Nathan Littauer Skilled Nursing Facility in Gloversville, NY. She most recently had been residing at Marchand Manor in Sharon Springs. She was born on August 27, 1927 in the town of Broome, NY, a daughter to the late Jerry and Rovilla (Miles) Snyder. She attended Cobleskill Central School. Her marriage to William Charles “Willie” Weaver took place October 21, 1945. Mr. Weaver died in 1987. Irma worked for several years at Helmont Mills in St. Johnsville as a knitter and lace machine operator. She had a passion for arts and crafts as a hobby. She is survived by her children, a son Danny Weaver (Carol Ann) of Nelliston, daughters Deborah Knoblauch of Canajoharie and Crystal Armstrong (Floyd) of Pleasant Brook, NY, and step-daughter Sandra Reed of Bridgewater, NY; 17 grandchildren, several great and great- great-grandchildren, and several surviving and pre-deceased siblings, along with nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was also predeceased by her son-in-law John Knoblauch. Funeral services will be held on Friday November 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in St. Johnsville, NY with Pastor Fred Jones officiating from the Warriors in Christ Church of God in Canajoharie. Calling hours are prior to the funeral home service on Friday from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in St. Johnsville Cemetery in the Weaver/Congdon plot. The family is thankful for the kindness offered at Marchand Manor, as well as the Albany Medical Center and the Nathan Littauer Skilled Nursing facility.
