HERKIMER- Lynn Bedat, age 60, of Herkimer, passed away on Sunday November 13, 2016, at Folts Home. Born in New Town, CT on September 22, 1956, Lynn was the daughter of the late Albert and Ethel (Ritchie) Bedat. After graduating high school, she continued her education in Healthcare, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked for several years in that field. She enjoyed writing poetry, a “good” joke, and had many other hobbies. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Robert Bates; one aunt, Anne Newmark; nieces and nephews, Karen, Jamie, Rachel-Lynn, and Matthew Peiger; and cousins of the Newmark, Ward, Poirier families. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brother James Bedat and her sister JoAnne Bedat. In keeping Lynn’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. Private services will take place at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank the Nurses, Doctors and all staff at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and the Folts Home, for their professional and compassionate care to Lynn.
