Obituary of Pasqualino A. Ferrusi

FRANKFORT – Mr. Pasqualino A. “Pat” Ferrusi, age 89, a longtime resident of Ilion and Frankfort, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, January 2, 2017 at Homelife at Folts. Pasqualino was born on February 4, 1927 to the late Henry and Nora (Strong) Ferrucci. He was raised in West Exeter by Leo and Blanche Horn and upon his sixteenth birthday he joined the United States Navy. Pat proudly served his country overseas during World War II. On August 10, 1946, Pat was married to the former Betty Stewart, and the two shared in a devoted union of over seventy years. Pat’s hardworking nature led him to go to work for various locales over the years, including Univac, Remington Arms and Kelsey-Hayes. In his spare time he enjoyed playing cards and all types of sports, including baseball and wrestling. He was an avid outdoorsman whose hobbies included hunting and fishing. Pat is survived by his beloved wife, Betty; his son and daughter-in-law, Darin and Vicki Ferrusi of Ilion; his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Warren Johnson of Columbus, NY; his grandchildren, Mandy Johnson and Michele and Joe Dean; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend Pat’s visitation which will take place on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion, (Town of Frankfort) NY (315) 894-8000. Pat’s funeral service will commence at 1:00PM, immediately upon the conclusion of visitation. Pat’s family would like to thank the staff of the respiratory department of St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, and the caregivers at the Folts Home, for the kindness and compassion shown to them.
