Obituary of Beverly Ann Vespasiano
LITTLE FALLS- Mrs. Beverly Ann Vespasiano, age 85, of Little Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 10, 2017 at Little Falls Hospital, with her loving family by her side.
She was born on April 10, 1931 in Little Falls, a daughter of the late Donald and Marion (Clarke) Walrath. She graduated with the Little Falls High School, Class of 1949 and went on to receive a Bachelor Degree in History from Empire State College. For twenty years, she was gainfully employed at Little Falls High School as Assistant Librarian where she was loved and respected by her peers and students alike. In July, 1954, Bev married her beloved and dedicated husband Joseph Vespasiano at St. Mary’s Church. Bev and Joe loved to travel together, and along the way were blessed to have their children join them. Their travels took them to special places such as London, Italy, California, and Myrtle Beach which provided many fond memories. She enjoyed reading and visiting historical sites.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother to her husband of nearly 63 years, Joe, to her children, Amy Vespasiano and husband Birch of New York City, Dr. Michael Vespasiano and wife Dr. Dana Hazel of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Joseph A. Vespasiano and wife Daphne of Little Falls, to her grandchildren, Nicholas and Gabe Vespasiano and Nell Johnson and Anthony Vespasiano, and to her sister Gretchen Lawhead of Arizona and to her beloved brother who preceded her in death, Judson Walrath. She was surrounded through the years by many close and special friends, never to be forgotten.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 14, 2017 at 10:30 AM from The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY and at 11:00 AM from the Holy Family Parish Church, corner of East Main & John Streets in Little Falls where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Terence Healy. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Calling hours at the funeral home are on Friday Jan. 13 from 5 until 7 PM.
Those wishing to remember Beverly in a special way are asked to consider either the Holy Family Parish or the Little Falls Hospital in lieu of floral offerings.
