CANAJOHARIE- Linda Knight, age 69, of Canajoharie, passed away on Tuesday January 10, 2017 at Mountain Valley Hospice, with her cherished family by her side. She was born on May 9, 1947 in Amsterdam, NY, a daughter of the late Crayton and Thelma (Mitchell) Van Steenburgh and was educated in Canajoharie schools. Linda worked at Nice-N-Easy in Canajoharie as well as at Custom Clad and the Palatine Nursing Home at one time. She lived a life devoted to her family. She just adored butterflies and spent many memorable times enjoying racing and watching her son Justin especially at Fonda and Glenridge. Her many friends in the online community are going to miss her. They really meant a lot to her. She is survived by her life partner of 31 years Eugene Ray Buley at home, her children, Loran Van Arsdal, Sr. (Cheryl) of Springfield, TN, Jessica Marks (Matthew) of Chambersburgh, PA, and Justin Knight (Allana) of St. Johnsville, her sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn Keba (Joe) of St. Johnsville, seven grandchildren, Charles Haas (Ashlee), Eric Haas, Loran Van Arsdal, Jr., Helen Haas, Samantha Burris, Jordyn Charthern, and Korina Richards, great-grandchildren, Sophia Shoemaker, Adelynn Haas, and Amelia June Haas, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in St. Johnsville, NY are on Friday January 13, 2017 from 4 until 6 PM. A funeral service will follow, with Linda Faduski, officiating. Spring interment will be in Charlton, NY. The family is very thankful for the care received at St. Mary’s Hospital (Joseph & Vicky), and the staff at Mountain Valley Hospice specially mentioning Robin.
