FRANKFORT – Francis P. Macrina, 76, passed away on Saturday February 4, 2017 at his home in Frankfort, NY with his loving family after a long illness. He was born on August 3, 1940 in Herkimer, NY the son of the late Francis and Virginia (Hall) Macrina. Through the years he lived in Herkimer, Whitesboro and Mohawk. He was married to Donna M. Bucek on February 5, 1972 in Frankfort. At one time he was married to Nancy Strait. He worked at Sperry Univac for 17 years as well as Remington Arms and Bendix. He retired in 2002 as Production Control Manager at Union Tools where he had worked for 13 years. Fran was a member of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. He enjoyed Handicapping and Horse Racing, hunting, fishing and all sports in general. His favorite baseball team was the New York Yankees. He is survived by his wife Donna, his children, Donald and Lynne Macrina, Eric Macrina, Joseph and Pamela Macrina, Ann Lynne Macrina, and Jill and Jim Daly, his brothers, Donald and Robert Macrina, and grandchildren, Sophia Macrina, John Macrina, Steven Macrina, Katelyn Daly, Carlene Daly, Victoria Magliaro, and Sam Magliaro, and several nieces, nephews and cousins, and In-Laws, JoAnn and Gary Rigo Karen Bucek and Dan Jory, and Christine and Randy Shields. Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 9, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort, NY with Rev. Paul Catena, Pastor, officiating. Spring interment will be in Litchfield-Kinne Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
