Obituary of Anthony J. "Biscuit" Bisconti

LITTLE FALLS – Mr. Anthony J. “Biscuit” Bisconti, age 82, a lifelong resident of Little Falls, entered into eternal rest to be reunited with his wife, Elaine on Saturday May 13, 2017 at Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.  The family would like to extend a big thank you to the staff at Alpine for the care they gave Biscuit during his stay with them.

He was born on May 14, 1934 in Little Falls, NY, son to the late Anthony and Sarafina (Evangelista) Bisconti. He was a graduate of Little Falls High School and lived his entire life in the Little Falls area. On May 11, 1968 he was united in marriage with Elaine A. Waterman at St. Mary's Church.  They shared 47 years of marriage until Elaine’s passing on August 10, 2015. Anthony served the City of Little Falls as a Firefighter for nearly forty years. He was a member of the Holy Family Parish and an honorary member of the DeCarlo Staffo Post.

Biscuit was a beloved member of our community and helped many friends through the years in so many thoughtful ways. He was the person to call if there was a piano to move, a refrigerator, stove or even a washer and dryer that needed moving.  He also mowed many yards, including the cemetery and in the winter you would catch him outside shoveling not only his own property but anyone else who needed it.  Back in the day, Biscuit was even known to pull out the washboard and play a catchy tune with friends.  In his spare time, he loved to watch college basketball, country western movies and tap his foot, while whistling, to the tunes of classic country music.  He truly was “Mr. Goodguy”.

He is survived by two daughters, Michele Bisconti of Dallas, Texas, and Lori Bisconti of Orlando, Florida, 4 grandchildren, Camren Guresh, Kaitlyn Guresh, Mason Williams, and Logan Williams, a sister Ida Miller and her husband Martin of Richfield Springs, a sister in law, Gail Matranga and her husband John of Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters Yolanda Thomason and Rose Lamanna, and his three brothers Dante Bisconti, Arthur Bisconti and infant Dante Bisconti.

Family and friends are invited to attend Biscuit’s visitation on Saturday May 20th from 10am until noon, prior to a memorial service at 12pm at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY.  City officials and City Firefighters are invited to honor Biscuit. Little Falls Fireman will gather in a body Saturday at 11AM to honor Anthony at which time the Fireman's Prayer will be recited.  Interment of both Anthony and Elaine will take place at Church Street Cemetery in Little Falls after the funeral home service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Little Falls Fire Department. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
