Obituary of Charles H. Williams

MOHAWK- Mr. Charles H. Williams, age 75, passed away on Thursday May 25,2017, at Little Falls Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born on October 23, 1941, he was the son of the late Albert and Ellen (Wayman) Williams. After graduating from Clinton High School, he met the love of his life, Eleanor Muro, in which they joined hands in marriage on October 24, 1964 in Schenevus, NY.

Charles enjoyed many years in the farming industry but most importantly, he loved working at Mahanna Career Institute of Truck Driving in Utica, NY. There, he taught many students how to drive tractor trailer and repair them. Most recently, he retired from Quackenbush in Herkimer as a Maintenance Technician. Charles enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially at camp. Above all, he loved his family with all his heart and never missed a moment with them.

Surviving is his wife Eleanor; three sons and daughter in-laws, Roger Williams and girlfriend Elise Allard, Chuck (Lan) Williams, and Edward (Barb) Williams; one daughter, Penny Milone; grandchildren, Amanda, Brandy, Nicole, Cynthia, Tiffany, Isabella, Marlinda, Joshua, and Travis; great- grandchildren, Dylan, Hailee, and Kylie; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Charles will also be greatly missed by his Feline companions, Alfalfa and Tigger, who was always at his side. He is predeceased by his son, James Williams and brother and sister in-law, Patrick and Judy Williams.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 31, 2017 from 4:00PM-7:00PM at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home 4309 Acme Road, Town of Frankfort, Ilion, NY (315) 894-8000. His funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Thursday morning at 10:00AM at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at Mohawk Cemetery at a later date.

For those wishing to do so, in lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations in Charles’s name, to the Herkimer County Humane Society, Envelopes will be at the funeral home.
