Obituary of Russell E. Linthicum, Jr.
ILION/KANSAS CITY: Mr. Russell E. Linthicum, Jr., age 73, currently of Ilion, and formerly a longtime resident of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away on Monday afternoon, June 5, 2017, at the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center, with his loving wife, Teresa, at his bedside.
Born on March 30, 1944, in Fort Bragg, NC, Russell was the son of the late Russell and Beverly (Rogers) Linthicum.
Russell is survived by his wife, Teresa; son, Alex Linthicum of Kansas City; daughters and sons-in-law, Rachelle and Aaron Wilson of Kansas and Renee and Aaron Shilts of Minnesota; granddaughter, Faythe Shilts; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and David Fletcher of Kentucky; as well as numerous in-laws and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson, Jayke Shilts.
In keeping with Russell’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. There will be private memorial services in Kansas and New Jersey after cremation.
